Partners Group wins private real estate mandate from Korea Investment Corporation
Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager, has been awarded a mandate by the sovereign wealth fund Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) to invest in a broad range of opportunities in the private real estate market. This investment field offers attractive opportunities following recent market dislocations. KIC recognizes both the high return potential and the expertise of Partners Group in this area.
Mr. Dong-Ik Lee, Managing Director of the Private Markets Group at KIC, comments, "We are very excited about the outlook for profitable investments in the private real estate restructuring and recapitalization space. We believe Partners Group's team possesses the right mix of experience and expertise to ensure KIC is ideally positioned to benefit from this significant investment potential. We look forward to working with them in the coming years."
Nori Gerardo Lietz, Partner and Chief Strategist Private Real Estate at Partners Group, adds, "We are honored to have received this mandate from the Korea Investment Corporation, and look forward to taking advantage of the numerous opportunities we see in the market place on their behalf. In particular, we believe KIC stands to profit from providing financing to property investors in need of repairing the balance sheets of their investments. According to our relative value assessment, we believe that recapitalization currently constitutes one of the most attractive opportunities in private real estate, particularly in developed markets, and we expect these opportunities to remain available for a period of time going forward."
