Grace del Rosario-Castaño proposed as successor to Dr. Wolfgang Zürcher on Partners Group’s Board of Directors
Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager, is to nominate Grace del Rosario-Castaño as a Non-Executive Independent Board Member at its Annual General Meeting of shareholders on 13 May 2015. Ms. Castaño is based in her native Philippines and spent 22 years at Johnson & Johnson. Her last position there was Company Group Chairman Asia-Pacific, domiciled in Singapore, with responsibility for the 13 operating companies in that region.
Dr. Wolfgang Zürcher, current Chairman of Partners Group's Nomination & Compensation Committee, will retire from the Board of Directors as of 13 May 2015 after ten years as a Non-Executive Independent Board Member. Dr. Zürcher, a Partner at the law firm Wenger & Vieli, has provided valuable guidance in support of Partners Group's fast-paced growth since its IPO in 2006.
Alfred Gantner, Co-Founder and Member of the Board of Directors, states, “On behalf of the board, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Wolfgang for his outstanding contribution to the firm during his decade as an Independent Board Member. Wolfgang has been a constructive critic, a trusted advisor, a valuable sounding board and a committed colleague and friend. We wish him well for all his future endeavors."
Following Dr. Zürcher's departure, Ms. Castaño is proposed to become Chairperson of Partners Group's Nomination & Compensation Committee. In addition, she will contribute her extensive operational experience to board level initiatives to promote investment management excellence and will support Partners Group's development and leadership in Asia.
Dr. Peter Wuffli, Chairman of the Board of Directors, comments, "We are delighted to propose Grace as an independent member of Partners Group’s Board of Directors. Her background and track record as a corporate leader will bring a valuable and highly complementary perspective to board discussions. We will greatly benefit from the vast operational experience she has gained during her prestigious career. As a global company with continued ambitions to grow our international footprint, we believe Grace is the perfect fit to further build out our Pan-Asian network and drive our global investment excellence forward."
Ms. Castaño, adds, "I am excited about this opportunity, which provides a fresh challenge in a new area of focus for me. Private markets offer the possibility to actively engage with companies and create value. As one of the most successful firms in private markets investment management, Partners Group is ideally positioned to realize this potential. I look forward to contributing my corporate leadership experience to the further strengthening of Partners Group's platform globally and especially in the Asia-Pacific region."
