Partners Group announces promotions and certain organizational changes

The firm appoints five members of the management team as Managing Directors. The Managing Director designation is a new title at Partners Group and replaces the former Principal designation. The following Senior Vice Presidents have been promoted to Managing Directors:
- Andrew Davis, General Counsel
- Moritz Elmiger, Head Technology & Infrastructure
- Dr. Remy Hauser, Head Private Capital & Private Finance Operations
- Marlis Morin, Head Product Management
- Dr. Michael Studer, Risk Management
Partners Group promotes the following seven Principals to Partners of the firm:
- André Frei, Chief Risk Officer
- Nan Leake, Private Real Estate
- Brooks Lindberg, Head Structuring Services
- Mark Rowe, Product Services
- Reto Schwager, Head Distribution Partners
- Marc Weiss, Private Real Estate
- Dr. Cyrill Wipfli, Business Strategy & Corporate Development
Also, Partners Group announces the introduction of a new department, Portfolio and Risk Management, as per 1 January 2009. The new department comprises the firm's portfolio management and risk management activities combined with those of the former Alternative Strategies department. This step further strengthens the firm's core private markets activities, yet provides a robust platform for its smaller absolute return and listed alternatives businesses. Tilman Trommsdorff, Partner and formerly with senior management roles in private markets and portfolio management, will take over responsibility for the new department. He will be appointed as member of the executive board as from 1 January 2009. With this organizational change, Michel Jacquemai, Partner and head of the former Alternative Strategies department, will no longer be a member of the executive board of Partners Group as of 1 January 2009 and will continue his responsibilities within absolute return strategies.
