Joe Newell is part of the Private Equity Health and Life business unit, based in Zug. Joe brings 31 years of global experience in the biotechnology and life sciences industry. Most recently, Joe was Chief Executive Officer of a biotech start-up. Previously, he was the CTO/COO at Atara Biotherapeutics and served in global operational positions at Alexion / AstraZeneca, and Amgen. Joe brings proven expertise in scaling innovative scientific platforms, leading transformative growth initiatives and driving operational excellence. Joe is the Chairman, Supervisory Board for FairJourney Biologics, a globlal antibody discovery and development company based in Porto, Portugal.
