Melvin Leong is Managing Director and Head of Business Platforms, based in Singapore. He brings 27 years of experience at the intersection of business and technology, spanning financial services, cloud transformation, and enterprise applications. Prior to joining Partners Group, Melvin was a Senior Engagement manager at AWS Professional Services, where he led landmark cloud and AI transformation engagements across ASEAN’s largest organisations, including the NETS Cross-Border Payment Gateway launched by the Prime Ministers of Singapore and India, and a major telco data transformation platform using AWS and Databricks. Before AWS, Melvin was held a senior technology leadership role at GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, where he modernized the firm’s investment and trading infrastructure, delivering the institution’s first full front-to-back equities system, the GIC enterprise-wide market data platform, and GIC’s first cloud-native application on AWS. Melvin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.
