Infrastructure Investor: 'A buyer’s market'
Our Co-Head of Infrastructure Partnerships, Dmitriy Antropov, joined an Infrastructure Investor roundtable to talk about the growth of infrastructure secondaries. Dmitriy told the panel that only a small fraction of infrastructure’s USD 1.4 trillion in AuM is currently trading in the secondaries market when compared to private equity, which means there is real potential for increased penetration. Dmitriy also said that the job of an infrastructure secondaries investor is likely to become more difficult given GPs are facing a harder time selling assets at a premium. However, an investor with a deep direct-like underwriting skill set and strong long-term relationships will be well-positioned.
