Host is a UK student accommodation and co-living joint venture (JV). Formed in 2022, the seed portfolio comprised two operational Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) assets in Leicester and Colchester totaling 381 beds, a PBSA development project in Bournemouth of 206 beds that completed in September 2023, and a purpose designed co-living development project of 301 studios in Guildford.
Thematic conviction
The UK student housing sector benefits from long-term tailwinds, such as favourable population growth trends, rising enrolment rates, and the strength of the UK’s higher education offering globally. Many UK university cities also have a limited supply of new-build, safe, and energy-efficient student housing.
Business building
The JV will look to bring the combined expertise, experience, and financial strength of Partners Group and Host to bear on other UK PBSA and co-living schemes. The JV will look to meet strong and growing demand in the sector, particularly across key undersupplied UK university cities. The JV has an identified pipeline of PBSA developments totaling more than 1,000 beds in Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.
